Hold onto your Stetsons, Yellowstone fans, because the Dutton saga is about to get a whole lot more explosive (and we're not just talking about dynamite fishing for trout in the Yellowstone River).
Forget the modern-day ranch drama, the boardroom showdowns, and even Beth Dutton's epic one-liners (okay, maybe not forget them, but you get the idea). We're time-traveling back to 1944, a pivotal year for America and the Dutton family.
With "1923" riding high on the success of its first season (Harrison Ford! Helen Mirren! Need we say more?), creator Taylor Sheridan is wasting no time expanding his neo-Western empire.
"1944" will drop us right into the heart of World War II, a time when the American West was grappling with everything from wartime rationing to a whole new wave of social change.
And you better believe the Duttons, never ones to shy away from a challenge (or a good old-fashioned land grab), will be right in the thick of it.
Now, we don't have all the details yet (we're not Lady Whistledown, sadly), but here's what we've gleaned from the rumor mill (and by that, we mean frantic Reddit threads and Twitter debates that could rival a Dutton family dinner):
The War Effort: The Yellowstone Ranch, a sprawling empire even back then, will likely be contributing to the war effort.
