Blake Shelton, the celebrated country music star, has recently made an electrifying announcement that has his fans buzzing with anticipation. On Thursday, August 8th, Shelton revealed that he will be starting his very first residency in Las Vegas at the iconic Caesars Palace in 2025.
The residency at Caesars Palace holds a rich history of hosting country music legends. He follows a long line of country artists who’ve had residences at the famous hotel and casino, including Keith Urban, Reba, Brooks & Dunn, and Shania Twain.
Shelton has never had a Vegas residency before but has considered the idea for years. “It’s been swirling for years now, and ever since the idea was first floated about opening an Ole Red in Las Vegas, this conversation has been happening too.”
He added, “If you’re going to have a stake in Las Vegas, you got to do a residency also if you’re an artist.I’ve just been kicking the can down the road because I wanted the Ole Red to be open before I did it.
”
Shelton is speaking about his chain of Ole Red bars and restaurants. He just opened the Las Vegas location earlier in 2024.
Shelton’s residency will be titled Blake Shelton: Live in Las Vegas. The show will be held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, with the first run of shows spanning between February 5 to February 15.
Tickets will go on sale August 16 at 1 PM ET on Shelton’s official website.
Shelton was inspired by Garth Brooks’ Vegas residency.During his shows, Brooks sings songs fans don’t always hear on tour.
“I don’t want to just rip somebody off.But I do love the idea of doing something that you wouldn’t normally get to see out on tour,” Shelton said.
"So I got to figure out what that is, and now I’m going to start thinking about how it would be different than something I would do on tour."However, Shelton wants fans to know that he’ll still play all of his big hits everyone loves.
He’s also leaving the door open for more performances at Ole Red. “While I’m there doing the residency, I may end up over at Ole Red jumping on that stage one night,” he hinted.
