Country music darling Miranda Lambert isn't letting tabloid rumors rain on her parade. Fresh off a glamorous appearance at the 2024 MTV VMAs, where she and hubby Brendan McLoughlin were the picture of love, Lambert is setting the record straight about the state of their five-year marriage.
While some might call it fate, Lambert's meet-cute with former NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin was actually a well-orchestrated plan by her Pistol Annies bandmates.
"They saw him and knew I might be ready to hang out with someone," Lambert confessed, referring to the day McLoughlin was working security at Good Morning America for the band's performance.
Turns out, her friends weren't subtle. "They invited [Brendan] to our show behind my back," she revealed with a laugh.
"They plucked him for me!"
Clearly, their matchmaking skills were spot on. The couple tied the knot just three months later, sending shockwaves through the entertainment world.
Fast forward five years, and Lambert and McLoughlin are still going strong, despite recent rumors fueled by tabloid photos of McLoughlin dancing with another woman at Lambert's Nashville bar.
Lambert brushes off the gossip with the confidence of a woman who knows her worth. When asked about McLoughlin on the VMAs red carpet, her face lit up.
"Brendan's the best," she gushed. "He's down for anything, super happy and supportive, in the best way. Let’s me do my thing, but is right there beside me and it’s really awesome.”
And the secret to their rock-solid bond? Making time for each other, no matter how hectic life gets.
"We kinda live on a date honestly," Lambert shared, her eyes twinkling.
"Like, we really spend a lot of time together. We're like best friends."
Even when their busy schedules keep them apart, they prioritize connection. "We really find a way to connect and always have date nights," she emphasizes.
Clearly, this is one country couple who knows how to keep the music playing, both on and off stage.
