A "Hot Cop" and a "No Plus One" Encounter:
The Start of a Unique Romance
Lambert and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, met on the set of "Good Morning America." She and her band, the Pistol Annies, were promoting their album "Interstate Gospel," and McLoughlin, a New York City police officer, was working security.
Lambert's bandmate, Angaleena Presley, spotted McLoughlin first, pointing him out as a "hot cop." But Lambert was initially hesitant.
"We met up after, hung out and talked, and there wasn't an agenda, really," she says. "He was super cool and we just talked and kept in touch."
The first date wasn't a typical star-studded affair. Lambert's team offered McLoughlin a single ticket to her show, "no plus one."
"He came by himself," Lambert says with a laugh.
