Yellowstone fans have been eagerly waiting for updates on the show’s final season since it was announced back in May. The wait is finally over as Paramount has recently released the show’s premiere date along with some other exciting news.
But that’s not all, as Paramount has also announced two new spinoff series that are currently in production.
The first one, 1944, is set in the midst of World War II, while the other, 2024, is a modern series that will explore the current political climate of the United States. These two new series are sure to excite fans of the show and provide new perspectives on the Yellowstone universe.

The announcement comes on the heels of the successful runs of 1883 and 1923. Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios, shared in a statement that Yellowstone has grown from a hit U.S. cable show with five million viewers to a global franchise with over 100 million fans worldwide, with multiple extensions in the works.
McCarthy praised the franchise’s storytelling and credited its creator, Taylor Sheridan, for helping to turn it into a worldwide cultural phenomenon.
The new spinoffs are expected to offer the same complex and compelling storytelling that has become synonymous with the Yellowstone franchise.
Although the plot details are being kept under wraps, it’s rumored that Matthew McConaughey is in negotiations to star in the 2024 series.
