Miranda Lambert, known for her powerful voice, sassy lyrics, and undeniable stage presence, is not just a country music icon, but also a woman who prioritizes real life experiences. And in a recent interview, she revealed a side of her that many can relate to: the struggle with burnout.
Lambert, who is currently gearing up for the release of her new album with Republic Records, has been working tirelessly to promote the record, juggling a packed tour schedule with countless press appearances.
But amidst the whirlwind, she took a moment to reflect on a crucial turning point in her life: her battle with burnout.
"Last summer was rough," Lambert confessed during a candid conversation on Bunnie Xo's Dumb Blonde podcast. "I reached a pretty high level of burnout. I didn't even realize what it was until I was like, 'I think this is what they call burnout.'"
The realization hit her like a bolt out of the blue. It was a stark contrast to her usual energetic spirit and relentless passion for music.
"It was a combination of not taking a break, or a long enough one," she explained. "A couple of days at a time just wasn't enough for the amount of business I was handling."
The solution? A much-needed escape from the whirlwind of her career. Lambert and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, embarked on an extended overseas vacation, soaking up the sights and sounds of Europe.
