The mixture is refrigerated until set. The truffles are then coated in melted chocolate and chilled before serving. Leftover truffles can be stored in the fridge for up to a week or frozen for up to 3 months. The truffles can be customized with yellow food coloring, sprinkles, or additional lemon zest. Vegan alternatives can be attempted but will require finding vegan white chocolate and substituting cream and butter with vegan counterparts.
