A mother's love is truly powerful. Alissa Smith, co-founder of Wrenn Rescues, received a call about rescuing 10-day-old kittens in Downey, California. Shelter workers had already rescued them but needed more experienced help. A networking group helped transport the kittens safely to Ventura County, where they were cared for by Ashley and Jenifer Hurt.
The kittens were well taken care of by their cat mama, who was eventually reunited with them after shelter workers discovered her searching for them. When the mother cat first arrived at the shelter, she was scared and shy until Ashley brought her one of the kittens.
