Zendaya recently expressed her nerves leading up to the release of Luca Guadagnino's Challengers. The Emmy-winning actress took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos and videos from behind the scenes of the film, alongside her co-stars Mike Faist and Josh O'Connor.
In the post, Zendaya mentioned that this was her first time leading a film in this manner and that she has been feeling nervous. The videos included Zendaya working out with a bouncy ball and training on a tennis court, O'Connor flipping a water bottle, and Faist in hair and makeup.
The final video featured O'Connor and Faist kissing a tennis racquet with Zendaya's wig, referencing a scene from the trailer that went viral.
Known for her role as Rue Bennett in Euphoria, Zendaya has been landing major film roles recently, including Dune and Dune: Part Two. She revealed that before starting production on Challengers, she sought advice from Dune co-star Timothée Chalamet about working with Guadagnino. Zendaya praised Guadagnino's brilliance and expressed her excitement about working with him.
The film, which she also produces, follows her character Tashi, a tennis coach who helps her husband become a grand slam champion.
Challengers will be released in theaters on April 26th.
