‘Outlander: Blood Of My Blood’: Starz Prequel Series Expands Clan Fraser With Tony Curran

Clan Fraser's numbers continue to increase with the addition of Tony Curran (Defiance, Red Road) to the Starz prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood as Lord Lovat, Jamie Fraser’s grandfather, in a regular role.

Filming has begun in Scotland for the prequel to the popular series Outlander, starring Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan. The show, inspired by Diana Gabaldon's work, will focus on the lives of Jamie and Claire's parents in different time periods.

With Matthew B Roberts as showrunner, Ronald D. Moore, and Maril Davis as executive producers, this 10-episode series will explore love stories in two different eras.

In addition to Outlander, Tony Curran will star in another Starz series, Mary & George, premiering on April 5. Curran has had a successful career in TV, film, and theatre.

His recent work includes roles in Mayflies, Your Honor, and Outlaw King, showcasing his talent as an actor. Curran is represented by agencies in the U.S. and the U.K.
