Sammy Hagar, the former lead singer of Van Halen, has recalled the story of how he was asked to join the iconic rock band. Hagar shared the details during a recent interview on the "Steve-O’s Wild Ride!" podcast.
According to Hagar, he received a call from Eddie Van Halen in 1985 asking if he'd be interested in replacing David Lee Roth as the lead vocalist of the band.
Hagar revealed that the band wanted to meet with him at his home to discuss the potential collaboration.
