A Night of Terror
On a seemingly ordinary Sunday night, Carrie Underwood, the beloved country music star, faced an unexpected crisis when her home near Nashville caught fire. The blaze erupted due to a malfunction in an off-road UVT parked in the garage, sending flames and smoke billowing through the property. Underwood, her husband Mike Fisher, their two sons, and three pets were inside the house at the time but managed to escape unharmed.
The Immediate Response
Williamson County Fire and Rescue quickly responded to the emergency. According to spokesperson Dinah Wade, the firefighters utilized a 1,000-gallon water tank installed at the home to combat the fire. "One of the pets refused to leave Underwood's side," Wade recounted, highlighting the tense moments during the evacuation. Despite the chaos, the fire was contained before it could cause significant damage to the main residence.
Damage and Aftermath
While the primary structure of the house remained intact, the fire caused extensive damage to the garage and parts of the exterior. Firefighters faced challenges extinguishing hidden fire pockets within the walls, which prolonged the firefighting efforts. Currently, there is no precise estimate of the damage costs, but the home, purchased for $5.
