In a heartwarming tale of compassion, a small kitten was discovered on the sidewalk by a compassionate individual who couldn't bear to leave him behind. The tiny feline, visibly frightened, found solace as soon as he nestled into the warmth of the kind person's hand. This little tuxedo kitten was not only tiny but also battling an upper respiratory infection with crusted eyes. Determined to help, the rescuer reached out to Kitty of Angels, a non-profit organization in LA dedicated to aiding homeless cats and kittens.
Introducing the world to the adorable 11-ounce bundle of joy, the rescuer shared, "Rocco says hi!" Currently on thyroid medication, Rocco's recovery journey had just begun, with the initial goal of reaching one pound and being able to defecate independently. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the rescuer wasted no time in taking the ailing kitten to the vet for immediate medical attention.
Bringing the community up to date with Rocco's progress, his rescuers joyfully announced in August, "Rocco came to the vaccine clinic today and hit a HUGE milestone.
He's 2 lbs! He's doing SO GREAT, and we're so excited for him! More excited than he is himself." Rocco's foster mother had been pouring love and care onto him, and it seemed everyone had fallen head over heels for this courageous little fighter.
During his time at the hospital, the vet suspected that Rocco was suffering from a rare condition and promptly initiated the necessary treatment. Despite his fragile state, Rocco astounded everyone by eating independently while his foster mother visited him.
