Yee-haw, music lovers! Miranda Lambert, the reigning queen of country music, just dropped a bombshell announcement that has fans in Austin, Texas, scrambling for their cowboy boots. She's playing a FREE pop-up show at the legendary Stubb's BBQ, and it's going to be intimate.
Lambert, who recently recorded her new album, “Postcards From Texas,” at Austin’s iconic Arlyn Studios, is clearly feeling the Lone Star State love.
She took to social media early Friday morning to announce the surprise show, sending fans into a frenzy.
"OMG! Miranda Lambert is playing a free show at Stubb’s? I can’t believe it!” one fan tweeted, while others frantically shared the news with friends and family.
The intimate indoor stage at Stubb’s has a capacity of just 150 downstairs, with an additional 60 spots in the upstairs bar. That's a far cry from the sold-out stadiums Lambert usually plays, making this a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for lucky fans to experience her raw talent up close and personal.
But snagging a ticket to this exclusive event won’t be easy. Wristbands, which are required for entry, will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis starting at noon on Friday. And with Lambert's massive fan base, those wristbands are expected to disappear faster than a plate of brisket at a Texas BBQ.
“I’m setting my alarm for 11:59 AM,” one dedicated fan declared on Instagram.
