The ton is abuzz, darlings! Season four of Bridgerton promises more scandal than Lady Whistledown could shake a quill at. But amidst the excitement, a shadow hangs over Aubrey Hall. Our beloved Viscount Bridgerton, played by the smoldering Jonathan Bailey, will grace our screens once more. But his fiery bride, Kate? Well, that's where the tea gets cold, kittens.
Netflix, in all its infinite wisdom (or perhaps a fit of pique?), released the season four cast list, and it was glaringly, scandalously absent of one Miss Simone Ashley, the very embodiment of Kate Sharma Bridgerton. Tongues are wagging faster than a footman with a juicy secret.
"Where is she?" they cry. "Don't they realize a Viscount is nothing without his Viscountess?"
And darlings, the silence from Netflix is deafening.
Did they lose her number? Perhaps it got misplaced along with the script for meaningful storylines in season three? One shudders to think!
Let's not forget the travesty that was Kate and Anthony's role in season three. They flitted through a handful of scenes, more like exotic birds on loan from the palace menagerie than the passionate lovers we fell head over heels for in season two.
