It's the final countdown on America's Got Talent, and judge Simon Cowell is back in the hot seat! After missing last season due to a back injury, Cowell is ready to crown a new champion, and he's got his eyes set on a specific act.
Cowell, who's been actively recovering from a serious back injury sustained in a bicycle accident, is back in fighting form.
He's not only back on the judges' panel, but also brimming with excitement for the season 16 finale. "I feel a lot better actually," Cowell tells PEOPLE. "I think the good thing about the accident is that you got to do a lot of exercises, all that kind of basic stuff. I'm doing more exercise now before the accident. So weirdly, I feel better than I did before I broke my back."
While Cowell acknowledges the talent of all the finalists, he has a clear favorite.
His heart is set on Aidan Bryant, the self-taught 16-year-old aerialist, who Cowell describes as "amazing." "If it was me voting, he'd get my vote," he reveals. Cowell has full confidence in Bryant's potential for success, even suggesting he could headline his own show in Las Vegas.
