A Fiery Controversy
The WNBA clash between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever took an unexpected turn when Angel Reese’s flagrant foul on Caitlin Clark became the focal point. The incident sparked heated debates, with media outlets fixating on the foul. Swin Cash, a three-time WNBA champion and current executive with the New Orleans Pelicans, vocally criticized the media's portrayal of Reese.
Cash’s Outrage
Swin Cash took to social media to express her frustration. “To have the only highlight of Angel be that foul is nasty work by these outlets,” Cash wrote on X. She emphasized that the coverage unfairly targeted Reese, questioning her intent in a way she found disingenuous. “U know what you're doing while also questioning her intent is nonsense! They got it right, it was a flagrant 1 it was called by the refs & the players played on.
”
Cash’s support for Reese didn’t stop there. She encouraged the rookie to stay resilient amidst the backlash. “Sh Keep Pushin & Competing Angel,” the Basketball Hall of Famer added, showing solidarity with Reese against what she perceived as biased media treatment.
