Carrie Underwood, the reigning queen of country music, has a reputation for her powerhouse vocals and her electrifying live performances. But lately, she's been speaking out about something that's been bothering her - fellow artists who don't deliver what fans expect.
A Vocal Queen's Frustration
Underwood, who has been dazzling audiences for nearly two decades, has faced her own vocal challenges.
In an interview with CMT, she discussed how she manages to keep her voice in pristine condition after years of non-stop touring. "I feel like, first and foremost, just taking care of myself overall is the most important thing I can do with food and drink and being healthy and exercising and all that stuff," she said.
But beyond the physical aspect, Underwood also revealed her disappointment with artists who alter their songs during live performances, often to the dismay of fans.
"When I go hear somebody sing and they don’t really sound like they’re supposed to sound, I’m disappointed," she confessed.

Underwood, a huge fan of music across genres, even joined Guns N' Roses on their 2023 tour, highlighting her respect for the craft. But for her, authenticity is key.
