Miranda Lambert, never one to shy away from a good time or a little bit of mischief, just gave fans a taste of what’s to come on her highly anticipated album, Postcards From Texas. And judging by her recent surprise performance at Stubb’s Austin, things are about to get a whole lot more “saucy.”
Lambert, known for her fiery lyrics and powerhouse vocals, debuted an unreleased track called “Bitch on the Sauce” during a surprise pop-up show at the iconic BBQ and live music venue in Austin, Texas. The song, a honky-tonkin’ anthem for anyone who’s ever made a questionable choice with a little liquid courage, had the crowd singing along in no time.
“Light that cigarette and it's like / Aw, shit, here comes trouble,” Lambert croons, her voice dripping with a mix of sass and self-awareness.
The lyrics perfectly capture that feeling of throwing caution to the wind, knowing you’re probably heading for a wild night, but embracing it anyway.
“Everything about you says 'Don't do that' / But the devil on my shoulder's sayin' 'Don't look back'," she sings, her voice a mix of defiance and playful rebellion.
