Hold onto your cowboy hats, y’all – Miranda Lambert is back, and she's not holding back the twang! With her new album, Postcards from Texas, set to drop next month, the country queen is giving fans a sneak peek at what’s to come with a stripped-down, acoustic performance of her latest single, “Alimony.”
The intimate performance video, shared on Lambert’s social media, showcases a raw and authentic side of the singer. Gone are the glitzy production and arena-sized lights, replaced by a simple stool, an acoustic guitar, and the unmistakable wail of a pedal steel guitar.
“Honky tonk as hell,” Lambert captioned the video – and she wasn’t kidding.
The performance oozes with a gritty, down-home vibe that harkens back to Lambert's early hits and solidifies her return to her Texas roots.
Fans were quick to share their excitement online, with comments like “This is the Miranda I fell in love with!” and “Texas suits you, girl!” flooding her feed.
Lambert co-wrote “Alimony” with songwriting heavyweights Natalie Hemby and Shane McAnally during a casual hangout on her farm.
