If you’ve been living under a rock (or just stuck in a pop music bubble), you might have missed one of the most anticipated country music duets of the year. Randy Houser, known for his thunderous voice and deeply emotional ballads, has teamed up with none other than Miranda Lambert, the reigning queen of country, for a track that will make even the toughest cowboy feel a little sentimental.
Their new song, "Still That Cowboy," is out now under Magnolia Music Group, and it’s everything you’d expect from two legends in the making.
It’s not every day that two country icons with years of experience in the industry come together for a project, but Houser and Lambert’s relationship is anything but typical. According to Houser, the idea for the duet had been simmering for years before it finally came to life.
“I’ve always wanted to have Miranda sing on this song because I could hear her voice on it with me,” Houser revealed, his voice thick with sincerity. “She’s one of my favorite singers and one of my favorite people. I’m so appreciative of her lending her incredible talent to it.”
And Miranda? She’s just as emotional about it. “Randy and I have been friends for a long time, yet we’ve never recorded together.
