Debate Dispute: Trump vs. Harris
The Trump campaign has stirred controversy by refusing to commit to a general election debate with Vice President Kamala Harris until she is officially confirmed as the Democrat nominee.
This move comes amidst ongoing political turmoil within the Democratic Party.
Trump communications director Steven Cheung addressed the situation, stating that the Trump camp will not finalize any debate arrangements until Democrats have officially settled on their nominee. "Given the continued political chaos surrounding Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrat Party, general election debate details cannot be finalized until Democrats formally decide on their nominee," Cheung said.
Cheung further criticized Harris, labeling her as a "Marxist fraud" and suggesting that the Democratic Party might still consider other candidates. He highlighted the lack of endorsement from former President Barack Obama as a sign of potential discontent within the party. "Therefore, it would be inappropriate to schedule things with Harris because Democrats very well could still change their minds," he argued.
