Law Roach and Zendaya share a unique professional relationship. The stylist recently spoke to The New York Times about his plans after announcing his retirement from celebrity styling a year ago. In the interview, Roach highlighted his ongoing collaboration with the Challengers star.
"We consider each other our fashion soul mates," he told the publication. "Our relationship can be described as 'big ideas, small details'. I often suggest elaborate outfit ideas, and she prefers simplicity.
"
Roach further explained, "I come up with the concept, and she refines it. We have disagreements, but I respect that she's the boss and she also respects my input."
When asked about his alleged retirement, Roach admitted that despite turning down other potential clients, he couldn't refuse Zendaya. He also shared his struggles with identity after retiring, especially in light of personal tragedy.
"The first months of retirement were challenging.
I felt lost. I was exhausted and had lost my identity. I had also lost my three-year-old nephew, which I was never able to truly grieve due to work commitments. It was a difficult time," Roach revealed.
