Starz has renewed BMF for a fourth season, showing early confidence in the drama from executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. The decision was made one day before the show, also known as Black Mafia Family, premiered its third season. Starz president of programming, Kathryn Busby, expressed excitement about continuing the bold storytelling of the Flenory brothers' legend in a new season. Season three features Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr.
, Da’Vinchi, and Russell Hornsby and follows two brothers from a Detroit crime family in the late ‘80s. Production for season four will begin in Atlanta in the spring, with BMF remaining one of the most-watched shows on Starz. The show is produced by G-Unit Film and Television, Lionsgate Television, and executive producers Randy Huggins, Heather Zuhlke, Anthony Wilson, and Anne Clements. BMF is part of Starz's scripted lineup which includes Outlander, P-Valley, and the Power franchise.
