Zendaya isn't ruling out the possibility of relaunching her music career in the future. The Euphoria star recently appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where she discussed her previous music releases.
"I have always had a special connection to music," Zendaya shared with host Jennifer Hudson. "While being in the music industry didn't take away my love for music, the combination of music and business can sometimes be challenging."
Although she released her debut album in 2013 with the popular single "Replay," Zendaya has focused more on acting in recent years.
However, she hinted that she might release new music when the time is right.
"If the perfect opportunity arises, and I feel inspired, I might consider releasing something new," the actress mentioned, adding, "Don't get too excited! We'll have to wait and see."
While she hasn't released her own music lately, Zendaya has collaborated with Labrinth, who composed music for HBO's Euphoria.
During her interview with Hudson, Zendaya also talked about her unexpected performance at Coachella last year with Labrinth, where they sang "I'm Tired" and "All For Us.
"
The Dune: Part Two actress praised Labrinth's talent and referred to him as a "fantastic individual." She admitted that initially, she turned down his offer to perform at the music festival due to her stage fright.
"I rejected the invitation to perform at Coachella because of my fear of performing live," Zendaya revealed, mentioning her past experiences with stage fright. However, she eventually challenged herself to face her fear by agreeing to perform with Labrinth.
Zendaya's performance at Coachella marked her first live show in over seven years.
