Jennifer Yale has been named co-showrunner for the upcoming Untitled James Wan/Simu Liu project on Peacock. This espionage techno-thriller, one of three new Peacock dramas, was recently announced at the TCA winter press tour.
Yale will collaborate as co-showrunner and executive producer with creator, writer, and EP Thomas Brandon of "Legacies".
The Untitled James Wan/Simu Liu project features Liu as Alexander Hale, a first-generation American intelligence analyst whose brain gets hacked, allowing access to all his senses.
Between his agency and the hackers, he must uncover the truth and prove his loyalty 24/7.
Liu is also an executive producer alongside Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett for Atomic Monster. The project is produced in partnership with UCP, a division of Universal Studios.
In addition to her work on this project, Yale is working on "De La Resistance" with A24 and Janelle Monae, as well as "The Butcher & The Wren" for Paramount+ with Sister and Radio Silence.
She recently completed the Apple+ series "Your Friends and Neighbors" and has also worked on "The Spire" and "Subject To Change". Yale's previous credits include writing and producing for Apple+'s "See" and Netflix's "Chambers", among others. She is represented by Brillstein, CAA, and Hansen Jacobson Teller et al.
