Breewatch is officially over as Starz's Outlander has chosen Sophie Skelton (known for her role in Foyle's War) to play the role of Brianna, the daughter of lead characters Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan). Brianna is described as a strong-minded and intelligent redheaded young lady, inheriting traits from both her parents like a scholastic mind-set and Fraser stubbornness. Skelton will be joining Richard Rankin who is set to portray Roger Wakefield, the grown-up son of Reverend Wakefield.
Skelton has appeared in various TV series and will also be seen in upcoming films, showcasing her talent in both small and big screen productions. Based on the best-selling books by Diana Gabaldon and adapted by Ronald D. Moore, Outlander follows the journey of Claire Randall (Balfe), a nurse from 1945 who is transported back to 1743. The series delves into the intricate plot of altering history to prevent the extinction of Scottish life as they know it.
The eagerly awaited second season is set to premiere on Starz in April, showcasing the captivating storyline filled with political intrigue and romantic drama.
