Miranda Lambert has spent the past two decades building a musical empire, but lately, it’s clear: she’s not content to just rest on her glittering laurels. The Texas-born country queen is out to prove that you have it all—an adoring fanbase in Nashville, a homecoming to Texas, and the credibility of a true outlaw. Is it possible for Lambert to claim both Nashville and Texas? She certainly thinks so. But can she balance the two musical capitals, or will she get burned out trying?
The evening at Stubb’s Bar-B-Q in Austin was nothing short of magical for Miranda Lambert fans. The tiny stage, packed with a rowdy crowd of 180 diehard supporters, witnessed the debut of a brand new, playful track: “Bitch on the Sauce (Just Drunk).” As the crowd screamed in delight, Lambert grinned ear-to-ear, feeding off the energy in the air.

“I was underage, but I drank my first beer onstage here,” she reminisced, her voice tinged with nostalgia. “It started a bad trend,” she added with a wink, laughing as she raised a cup to the crowd. You could almost hear the echoes of her younger self in those words, back when she was just a kid with a dream and a stage to prove it on.
Standing there, in her cowboy boots, denim skirt, and tight black T-shirt sparkling with the venue’s logo, Lambert was unmistakably a product of honky-tonk bars.
