Jake Porter, the father of the late Kim Porter, has recently broken his silence regarding the shocking Diddy-Cassie beatdown video. In an emotional phone interview with Rolling Stone, Jake didn't hold back his disdain for the music mogul, labeling Diddy's attack on his ex-girlfriend Cassie as "despicable."
A Veteran's Perspective
Jake, a Vietnam War veteran, shared his disbelief over Diddy's behavior. "I fought in a war and I would never treat my enemy the way Diddy assaulted Cassie," he stated. The footage from the now-defunct InterContinental Hotel in Century City shows Diddy kicking and dragging Cassie, a scene that horrified many. "I imagine it surprised a lot of people. I wouldn’t even do a dog like that. My heart goes out to Cassie," Jake expressed, his voice filled with sorrow and anger.
A Painful Past
Kim Porter, one of Diddy's long-term girlfriends, dated him from 1994 to 2007 and shared three children with him. Tragically, Kim passed away in 2018 from pneumonia in her Los Angeles home. Reflecting on Kim's relationship with Diddy, Jake revealed, "She was very much in love with Diddy, but she just couldn't live under the same roof with the guy.
