A kitten covered in tar was found by a local resident. The kitten's two siblings also had minor injuries but managed to survive. The kitten, named Ashley, was in a horrible condition and would not have survived if not found. It is believed that someone deliberately poured tar on the property to harm the kittens. Ashley suffered severe injuries, with the tar covering her entire body and causing her eyes to seal shut. Ashley was in the ICU for 24 hours, which cost $1,700.
However, kind-hearted strangers came forward to cover the expenses. Ashley recovered well and regained her ability to walk. Her foster parent, Janice Richard, diligently removed the tar from her fur. Ashley remained under Janice's care until she was ready for adoption. She was adopted alongside her siblings by a wonderful couple, Gerry and Joanne Drew. Ashley has transformed into an amazing kitty and is loved by her new family.
