Jennifer Yale has been announced as the new co-showrunner for the upcoming Peacock espionage thriller series, which stars Simu Liu, as reported by Variety.
The show, which received a straight-to-series order back in February, was created by Thomas Brandon, who will also serve as co-showrunner alongside Yale.
The series follows the story of Alexander Hale (played by Liu), a first-generation American intelligence analyst who discovers that his brain has been hacked, allowing hackers access to his senses.
Caught between his agency and the hackers, he must uncover the truth and prove his allegiance.
Yale's previous work includes writing for Apple TV+ series "See" and shows like "Dexter," "Legion," "Underground," "Outlander," and "Chambers." She is currently working on the series "De La Resistance" with A24 and Janelle Monae.
Yale is represented by CAA, Brillstein, and Hansen Jacobson. Brandon, the creator of the show, is also the writer, co-showrunner, and executive producer, with Liu executive producing and starring.
Wan will executive produce through Atomic Monster, along with Michael Clear and Rob Hackett. UCP is the studio behind the series.
This new series is the latest addition to the lineup at Peacock for Atomic Monster, with Wan also executive producing the previously ordered series "Teacup" from Ian McCulloch. "Teacup" is based on the novel "Stinger" by Robert McCammon.
