Lainey Wilson has revealed that she has already started filming her scenes for Season 5 of Yellowstone, following the announcement that she would be joining the cast. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Wilson expressed her excitement about the opportunity to act on the show.

She mentioned that she has previously had her music featured on the show multiple times. Taylor Sheridan, the co-creator and writer of the series, contacted her in February 2022 and expressed his interest in creating a role specifically for her in Season 5.
