Lainey Wilson has revealed that she has already started filming her scenes for Season 5 of Yellowstone, following the announcement that she would be joining the cast. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Wilson expressed her excitement about the opportunity to act on the show. She mentioned that she has previously had her music featured on the show multiple times. Taylor Sheridan, the co-creator and writer of the series, contacted her in February 2022 and expressed his interest in creating a role specifically for her in Season 5.
Initially unsure about taking on an acting role, Wilson agreed after Sheridan assured her that she was capable. In preparation for the role, Wilson has been taking a few acting lessons and feels confident in her abilities. She jokingly stated that acting might be second nature to her, given that she has been "acting a fool" her whole life. Wilson's character, Abby, is a musician on the show. She is among several new additions to the cast for Season 5, including Kai Caster, Lilli Kay, and Dawn Olivieri.
The principal cast members from previous seasons, such as Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, and Kelly Reilly, are set to return. Season 5 of Yellowstone began filming in May and is scheduled to premiere on November 13. The season will consist of 14 episodes, which will be divided into two parts. Fans can currently stream Seasons 1-4 on Peacock. In addition, the Montana ranch that serves as the setting for the show offers cabins for rent, allowing fans to experience the show's iconic location firsthand.
The cabins come with the added bonus of tours of the set and ranch. Ryan Bingham, who stars in Yellowstone and is also a singer-songwriter, has listed his LA home for sale, and pictures reveal a stunning property with breathtaking mountain views.
