Yellowstone has announced new additions to its cast for Season 5, and one of the familiar faces will be country music star Lainey Wilson. The popular TV drama will feature Wilson in the role of a musician named Abby. Wilson has achieved great success in the country music scene with her hits "Things a Man Oughta Know" and a duet with Cole Swindell titled "Never Say Never." Her music has been featured on Yellowstone in the past, making her a perfect fit for the show.
Joining Wilson in Season 5 are several other new cast members. Kai Caster will play a young cowboy named Rowdy, while Lilli Kay takes on the role of Clara Brewer, an assistant to the Dutton family. Dawn Olivieri, who has previously appeared in the Yellowstone prequel 1883, will portray Sarah Atwood, a confident and ambitious newcomer to Montana.
Returning to the show for Season 5 are Josh Lucas, Jacki Weaver, Kylie Rogers, and Kyle Red Silverstein.
Mo Brings Plenty and Wendy Moniz have been promoted to series regulars, indicating that their characters will have an expanded presence this season. Jen Landon and Kathryn Kelly were also previously announced as regulars for the new season.
Filming for Season 5 began in mid-May in Montana, and the premiere is set for November 13th. The entire principal cast, including Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, and Cole Hauser, will be returning.
Season 5 will consist of 14 episodes, divided into two sections of seven episodes each.
