Country singer Lainey Wilson caused a stir on social media when she shared a teasing picture from the set of the upcoming Season 5 of Yellowstone. Wilson took to Instagram to post a photo of herself sitting in a folding chair adorned with the show's logo. Although it is unclear whether the photo was taken on the set of Season 5, which is currently being filmed, it appears that Wilson could be in a hotel room or office on location. The picture received an enthusiastic response from fellow country artists such as Carly Pearce, Stephanie Quayle, Callista Clark, and many others.
The news of Wilson joining the cast of Yellowstone was announced on June 10, and shortly after, the singer revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she had already started filming her role. Wilson's music has been featured on the show multiple times in the past, and series co-creator Taylor Sheridan specifically wrote a part for her in Season 5. Wilson admitted to taking a few acting lessons and expressed excitement about this new opportunity.
She will portray the character of Abby, a musician, in the show. Season 5 of Yellowstone, which began filming in May, is set to premiere on November 13. The entire principal cast, including Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, and Kelly Reilly, will be returning for the new season. The season will consist of 14 episodes airing in two separate arcs. Meanwhile, fans of the show can also rent cabins on the stunning Montana ranch that serves as the setting for Yellowstone, with the rental including tours of the set and ranch.
