Outlander will be coming to a conclusion on Starz with its eighth and final season, making it the longest-running original series on the network. The final season will consist of 10 episodes, while the upcoming seventh season will have 16 installments. President of original programming at Starz, Kathryn Busby, expressed excitement about properly concluding Claire and Jamie's epic love story. Additionally, a prequel series titled Outlander: Blood of My Blood has been greenlit, focusing on the love story of Jamie Fraser's parents.
Matthew B. Roberts will continue as showrunner for both series.
