Dragon Ball Super introduced the character of Beerus, the God of Destruction, who brought a new level of power to the series. However, fans may not realize that the concept of a Destroyer God was actually mentioned earlier in Dragon Ball Z.

The series has always featured divine beings, such as the Kais, who played a significant role in the Buu arc. A hint of the all-powerful Destroyer God was revealed during Gohan's training with the Z sword and his meeting with Elder Kai.
