While many southerners hunkered down as winter storms transformed their towns into snowy wonderlands, country star Miranda Lambert took to the frigid outdoors to tend to her beloved animals. Rather than cozying up inside like most, the “Actin’ Up” singer faced the cold head-on, proving that even freezing temperatures can’t stop a cowgirl from getting the job done.
As snow blanketed the Tennessee hills, Miranda Lambert found herself not in front of a fireplace, but outside, bundled up and ready to handle barn chores. Her herd of Gypsy Vanner horses, known for their elegant and royal appearance, needed care—and Lambert was more than up for the task. As she trekked through the snow to her barn, she couldn’t resist giving herself a motivational pep talk.
“Cowgirls don’t cry, not today. But I want to,” Miranda jokingly said, pulling hay off the back of her utility golf cart and facing the cold head-on. Her words, while light-hearted, resonated with the many who know that taking care of animals is a responsibility that never takes a snow day.
Once inside the barn, Miranda reassured her horses that they wouldn’t have to brave the snowstorm outside.
