When the glitz and glamour of the stage lights dim, country superstar Miranda Lambert retreats to a sanctuary far removed from her busy touring life—a sprawling farm just outside Nashville. Purchased in 2016, the property is more than just a quiet escape; it’s a bustling haven filled with the love and chaos of a growing animal family. For Lambert and her husband, former NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin, life on the farm is anything but dull.
“We’re pretty chill,” Lambert confesses in an exclusive interview. “When we’re off work, I’m in my patio hang vibe.” The couple, who tied the knot in 2019 after a whirlwind romance, has settled into a laid-back lifestyle that’s a stark contrast to their high-profile careers. “We’ll make drinks and listen to music. Sometimes we’ll have the best parties just by ourselves,” Lambert says with a laugh.
“He loves what he calls ‘happy hour music’ — Matchbox Twenty and Goo Goo Dolls. We have different tastes, but we’ll sit there for hours and listen.”
A Menagerie of Love: The Animals of Miranda’s Farm
The farm isn’t just a quiet retreat—it’s a lively menagerie filled with animals that keep Lambert and McLoughlin on their toes. “I’ve got six horses, two mini horses, three shelter cats, and two goats named Taco and Tuesday,” Lambert shares, her voice lighting up with pride.
