Paris, the city of love, was supposed to be a dreamy escape for newlyweds Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed. Instead, it turned into a battleground between celebrity entitlement and heartbroken fans.
Picture this: the cobblestone streets, the aroma of freshly baked croissants, and a horde of screaming fans eagerly awaiting a glimpse of the smoldering Somerhalder.
Ian, however, fresh off his honeymoon high and sporting a decidedly devil-may-care scruff, had other plans.
Emerging from his Parisian hotel, hand-in-hand with his blushing bride, Ian was met with the flash of cell phone cameras and a chorus of pleas for photos. His reaction? Let's just say it wouldn't have earned him any "Husband of the Year" awards.
"Hey guys, listen," he boomed, his voice laced with an odd mix of authority and forced pleasantries.
"No, no, stop. Everybody, listen!"
The crowd, momentarily stunned by the force of his words, went silent. Was he about to treat them to an impromptu meet-and-greet?
Nope. Not even close.
"I love you guys," Ian continued, his tone softening slightly, "but I'm not taking a single photo today. It's my day. Don't follow us, please."
He punctuated his words with a theatrical shake of his head, as if the very idea of snapping a photo with his adoring fans was simply preposterous.
