Miranda Lambert is no stranger to the highs and lows of the music industry. As she gears up for the release of her new album, , Lambert is taking on a new role that has nothing to do with chart-topping hits or sold-out tours: she wants to be a mentor for the next generation of artists. In a candid conversation on Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast, the country music icon opened up about her decision not to have kids—at least for now—and how she's channeling that energy into nurturing young talent.
“Since I don’t have children of my own, I want to use that part of what I’ve learned for younger generations,” Lambert shared. “Especially of artists because nobody tells you how this goes. Nobody sits there and gives you a handbook of, like, ‘Well, when you make it to this level, this is what’s gonna happen. And then you’re gonna have your first breakdown on week four of this tour.
’ They’re real, and no one tells you what to do if you’ve made it.”
Lambert's nurturing instincts have already touched artists like Lainey Wilson, who has spoken publicly about how Miranda has been like a guiding light, offering advice and support as she navigates her burgeoning career. “Miranda wants to ‘pass the torch’,” Wilson has said, underscoring Lambert’s commitment to being more than just a musical icon—she wants to be a resource, a sounding board, and a friend.
