Miranda Lambert has always been a fighter, a trailblazer in the country music world with deep roots in Texas. Growing up in small-town East Texas, Lambert wasn't the popular cheerleader or star athlete. Instead, she found her calling in a high school choir that she helped form. "In Texas, it’s football or die," she recalls with a laugh. "Getting in the choir was awesome." Singing was the one thing she excelled at, and it didn’t take long for her to discover her tribe of fellow misfits.
That humble start in choir would set her on a path to becoming one of the most successful country music artists of her generation.
