Hold onto your Stetsons, country music fans! Miranda Lambert, the queen of sass and heartbreak anthems, is getting real about her journey to the top, and it’s more relatable (and tequila-soaked) than you might think.
At the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards, where Lambert snagged the coveted Country Icon Award, she took a moment to reflect on her 20-year career, offering some sage advice to her younger self.
“I would say, ‘Enjoy the ride…slow down a little bit,’” she shared in an exclusive interview, a hint of wistful nostalgia in her voice. “I’ve been a horse with blinders on for so long, just working toward a goal, and I think I did miss a few things by pushing.”
“Preach, Miranda! We all need a reminder to slow down and savor the journey."
"This is the kind of wisdom you only get after years of hard work and tequila shots."
Her solution for a more balanced approach? "Take a chill pill, have another Tito’s, and roll through it.

"I need to add 'Tito's and chill' to my self-care routine ASAP."
But Lambert’s not just dishing out life lessons. She’s also looking ahead, eager to collaborate with other fierce female artists in the industry.
“There are so many talented women in country music right now," she gushed.
