Colin J. Ferrell, 18, and his mother Tiffany L. Ferrell, 44, both from Endicott, New York, tragically lost their lives on July 19 in a devastating car accident. The fatal crash occurred on Interstate 86 when their 2015 Acura RDX was hit by a 2018 Nissan Maxima that veered across the median from the westbound side of the highway. The driver of the Maxima, 36-year-old Steven Mallory, was also killed in the collision, as reported by the New York State Police.
In the wake of this tragedy, Dan Ferrell, husband and father of the deceased, has publicly shared his profound grief and appreciation for the support his family has received. Through a message on a GoFundMe campaign established for the Ferrell family, Dan expressed his overwhelming sorrow, grief, and anger.
“We lost two amazing, dynamic, caring, and loving family members that can never be replaced,” Dan Ferrell wrote. “I want their memory to live on forever, and with everyone's donations and outpouring of love, it will certainly make that easier to do.
” He added, “I love you all and am eternally grateful for you all.”
Tiffany Ferrell is remembered for her kindness and involvement in her children’s lives. Her obituary describes her as “the kindest, and most compassionate person” who was always actively engaged in her children’s sports activities, serving as a dedicated “team mom” to those around her.
