The 27-year-old was visiting the picturesque Kumbhe waterfall, located approximately 80 miles from Mumbai, with a group of seven friends when the accident occurred.
According to local police reports and eyewitness accounts, Kamdar lost her footing while filming content for her Instagram page and plummeted 300 feet into the rocky gorge below. A rescuer who spoke to The Economic Times described the harrowing scene, stating, “She fell on the hard, slippery patch of rocks... and couldn't be spotted initially. She was sent up using a stretcher attached to rappelling ropes. Six rescuers climbed down the hill, while another 50 assisted atop the hillock.

Despite a grueling six-hour rescue effort involving multiple agencies, Kamdar succumbed to her injuries. Though initially responsive and placed on a ventilator, she passed away later that afternoon at Mangaon Taluka Government Hospital.
