We all know Miranda Lambert can belt out a heartbreak ballad like nobody's business, but even this tough-as-nails country star knows that family comes first. And lately, her family's been through the wringer.
Last year, the "Gunpowder and Lead" singer's world was rocked by news no one wants to hear: her mother, Beverly June Lambert, was diagnosed with breast cancer.
But hold onto your Stetsons, folks, because this is the Lambert clan we're talking about. They don't back down from a challenge, even one as tough as cancer.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE magazine, Miranda revealed the news we've all been waiting for: Beverly is officially cancer-free!
"She's been through a whole lot, but she's doing really well, and she's ready to roll," Miranda shared, her voice filled with a mix of relief and pride.
"She's unstoppable. She's just been so strong and positive through the whole thing."
And Beverly, never one to shy away from a challenge (or a good time), is facing her recovery with the same grit and grace she's brought to every honky-tonk dance floor.
"One thing that was really important to us, and to me especially, was keeping the friend and family base in the loop regarding updates," Beverly shared.
